Every night, when the sky turned dark and quiet, a tiny bright star twinkled above the world.
She wasn't the biggest star or the shiniest star - but she was the friendliest.
The friendly star loved watching the children below.
She saw them reading bedtime stories, cuddling their teddies, and drifting off to sleep.
One evening, she noticed a little boy sitting by his window, looking worried.
The friendly star shimmered softly and whispered, "I'm here."
She twinkled a little brighter... and brighter... until her warm glowreached the boy's room.
The boy smiled. "Hello little star,"bhe said. "I couldn't sleep."
The friendly star sparkled gently, as if to say, "You're not alone."
Her soft light wrapped around him like a cosy blanket. His eyes grew heavy... his breathing slowed...
and soon he drifter into a peaceful sleep.
From that night on, whenever a child felt scared or lonely, hte friendly star shone a little brighter -
sending them into sweet dreams and reminding them that someone in the sky was always watching over them.
